Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 15, 2025

We're Logicenergyhub, and we teach people how to build mobile games. This policy explains how we handle your information when you interact with our platform. We're based in Taiwan, so we follow local regulations while keeping things straightforward for everyone who learns with us.

Information We Collect

What You Give Us Directly

When you sign up for courses or contact us, we collect basic details. Your name and email address are the essentials. If you're enrolling in paid programs, we'll need billing information too—though our payment processors handle the sensitive card details, not us.

Sometimes students share more during the application process. Maybe you tell us about your background in programming or what kind of games you want to create. This helps us match you with the right learning track.

Information We Collect Automatically

Like most websites, ours tracks technical stuff automatically. IP addresses, browser types, the pages you visit—standard web analytics. We use this to understand how people move through our site and where they get stuck.

We also track course progress for enrolled students. Which lessons you've completed, how long you spent on coding exercises, quiz scores. That kind of thing helps us provide better support and improve the curriculum.

Data Type Collection Method Purpose

How We Use Your Information

The main reason we collect data is to run the education platform. You can't access course materials without an account, and we need your email to send you updates about new lessons or changes to the schedule.

  • Delivering course content and tracking your progress through learning modules
  • Sending important notifications about program updates, scheduled live sessions, or technical issues
  • Processing enrollments and handling billing for paid courses
  • Providing technical support when students run into problems
  • Improving our curriculum based on how students engage with different topics
  • Preventing fraud and maintaining platform security

We occasionally send marketing emails about new courses or special workshops. But there's always an unsubscribe link if you'd rather not receive those.

We never sell student data to third parties. Your information stays within our education platform and the specific service providers we work with to operate it.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

Running an online education platform means working with some external services. We're careful about who gets access to student information.

Service Providers We Work With

Our video hosting platform stores the tutorial content. Payment processors handle transactions when you enroll in paid courses. Email service providers help us send course updates and announcements. Analytics tools show us how people use the site.

These companies can only use your data for the specific services they provide to us. They can't repurpose it for their own marketing or sell it elsewhere. We have contracts in place that spell this out clearly.

Legal Requirements

If Taiwan authorities require us to disclose information for legal investigations, we'll comply with valid requests. This might happen in cases involving fraud, security threats, or other legal matters. We'll notify affected users when possible, unless prohibited by law.

Business Transfers

If Logicenergyhub gets acquired or merges with another company, student data would transfer as part of that transaction. The new owner would still need to honor the commitments in this privacy policy.

Your Rights Under Taiwan Law

Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act gives you specific rights regarding your information. We take these seriously and have processes in place to handle requests.

Access and Review

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. We'll provide it in a readable format within 30 days. There's no fee for the first request in a calendar year.

Correction and Updates

Found a mistake in your profile or want to update your contact details? You can make most changes directly through your account settings. For things you can't edit yourself, email us at [email protected] and we'll fix it within 15 business days.

Deletion Requests

You can ask us to delete your account and associated data. We'll remove everything except what we're legally required to keep for accounting or dispute resolution purposes. Course completion records might need to stay on file for certification verification.

Data Portability

Want to take your learning history elsewhere? Request a data export and we'll provide your course progress, submitted projects, and profile information in a standard format you can use with other platforms.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We'll verify your identity and process the request according to Taiwan data protection regulations.

Data Security Measures

We use industry-standard security practices to protect student information. That includes encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transmission, secure server configurations, and regular security audits.

Access to student data is restricted to team members who need it for their specific roles. Our staff receives training on data handling procedures and privacy requirements.

  • Encrypted data transmission using TLS 1.3 protocols
  • Regular security patches and system updates
  • Password protection with hashing and salting
  • Limited employee access based on job function
  • Automated backup systems with encrypted storage
  • Intrusion detection and monitoring systems

But no system is completely bulletproof. If we experience a data breach that affects student information, we'll notify affected users within 72 hours and report it to Taiwan authorities as required by law.

Data Retention and Deletion

How Long We Keep Your Data

Active student accounts and associated learning data stay on our systems as long as you're using the platform. If you stop logging in, we'll keep your account active for three years in case you want to come back.

After three years of inactivity, we'll send a reminder email. If there's no response within 60 days, we'll delete the account and most associated data. Course completion certificates and transcripts get archived separately for verification purposes—we keep those for seven years.

Financial and Legal Records

Taiwan tax laws require us to maintain billing records for five years. If there's an ongoing legal matter or dispute involving your account, relevant data stays until that's resolved.

Immediate Deletion Process

Don't want to wait three years? Request account deletion anytime through your settings or by emailing us. We'll process it within 30 days, removing all personal information except what we must retain for legal compliance.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our site uses cookies to remember your login status and preferences. Some are essential for the platform to work—you can't complete lessons without session cookies that track your progress through modules.

Types of Cookies We Use

Essential cookies keep you logged in and remember your spot in course materials. Analytics cookies help us understand site usage patterns—which pages get visited most, where people spend time, common navigation paths.

We don't use advertising cookies since we're not running ad campaigns. You can block analytics cookies through your browser settings if you prefer, though it limits our ability to improve the user experience.

Third-Party Analytics

We use analytics services to track general site usage. These tools collect anonymized data about visitor behavior. The information goes to external providers who help us analyze traffic patterns and site performance.

International Data Transfers

While we're based in Taiwan, some of our service providers operate servers in other countries. This means student data might occasionally be processed or stored outside Taiwan.

When that happens, we make sure those providers meet adequate data protection standards. We use contracts that require them to maintain security measures comparable to Taiwan's requirements.

Our primary servers stay within Taiwan and neighboring regions with strong data protection laws. Critical student information—account credentials, payment details, personal profiles—remains in Taiwan-based systems whenever possible.

Children's Privacy

Our courses are designed for learners aged 16 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from younger users. If you're under 16, you'll need parental consent to create an account.

If we discover that someone under 16 has registered without parental permission, we'll delete their account and associated data promptly. Parents who want to review information about their child's account can contact us directly.

Changes to This Policy

We update this privacy policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we'll post a notice on the site and send an email to active students.

The updated version will show a new "Last Updated" date at the top. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Major changes—like new data sharing practices or significant policy shifts—will include a more prominent announcement. You'll have the option to close your account if you disagree with the updates.
